The mobile terminal EC30 from Zebra supports Android and is incredibly compact and designed to be handy. It weighs a mere 110 grams and is only 1.4 centimeters thin. This makes it incredibly easy to carry and simple to attach to a lanyard, uniform or wristband – the ideal mobile partner in retail or hospitality.

The EC30 is specially designed for users who want to be connected at all times. Therefore, it offers comprehensive voice features, as is also known from walkie-talkies, and optionally a cordless PBX handset. Thus, it helps improve customer service and in-house communications, and increases turnover – reaching team members instantly, responding to customer questions faster, or alerting a warehouse worker to put an item on the sales floor.

High performance is ensured by the comprehensive features of the EC30. The 3″ colour display is suited for all sorts of tasks – from querying an item price and availability to stocking up in retail stores – and it features capacitive touch technology for operating with a finger and thin gloves. The Qualcomm Octa-core 2.2 GHz processor ensures constantly high performance, while 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of eMMC Flash provide ample storage capacity at all times. When fully charged the 1,200 mAh battery lasts for a shift of 8 to 10 hours. Plus, the EC30 is equipped with an integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner to perform tasks even more efficiently – from the price check to an item search up to time recording. Also, the interfaces of the mobile device ensure reliable operational readiness: USB-C, WLAN (802.11 ac) and Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE.

Daily use in retail or hospitality requires a durable design – and that’s what the EC30 is all about. The mobile device survives multiple falls from up to 1.2 meters and is protected against dust deposits and splash water according to its IP54 certification. Spilled water, a fall into a puddle, a dusty back room, rain or frequent cleanings – the EC30 survives everything easily.

For very good support and easy handling, the EC30 accesses numerous services offered by Zebra Mobility DNA. Many applications are already installed from the factory and are ready for immediate use. These include »LifeGuard« for the daily availability of security updates and »Device Tracker« for the easy retrieval of misplaced devices. There are also application options available to help you avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime, or maximize Wi-Fi network performance and much more.
