The successful advancement of the proven ScanPal SP5100 now carries the name Honeywell ScanPal EDA50. The classic compact mobile terminal was completely reworked and modernized: instead of a keyboard there is a generous 5” multi-touch display on the front, offering a larger viewing area and higher productivity. The pre-installed Android operating system is known for its user-friendly handling, like on your own smartphone. An integrated barcode scanner with a fast HI2D scan engine simplifies the capture of all common 1D and 2D barcodes.

When it comes to connectivity the ScanPal EDA50 is fully equipped: WLAN (802.11 a/b/g/n), WWAN 3G (HSPA+), Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and USB offer a comprehensive spectrum of wireless and corded data transfer paths. Compared to conventional consumer-class devices the ScanPal EDA50 features expanded robustness. It withstands multiple drops from a height of up to 1.2 m, is IP54-certified against dust and splash water, and supports users in both extremely cold and hot temperatures between -10 and +50 °C.
