With the Cobalto CO5300, Datalogic brings an omni-directional laser scanner into the field, which, thanks to its intelligent features, goes beyond the traditional characteristics of a presentation scanner. It is the ideal companion both at the POS in retail – such as in boutiques and smaller shops – as well as for document management in the public sector and postal services. Its reading speed, high ergonomics and clever features, such as EAS-compatibility, make the Cobalto a powerful scanner with added value.

Customize the Cobalto individually to the respective application environment. Configure the acoustic good scan confirmation according to your wishes and with any desired melody. Different tones are also available for download. In addition, the illuminated ring around the scan window clearly confirms a successful scan. Thanks to a built-in trigger users also may operate it as a handheld scanner, for example, to better read the barcode on bulky goods. The rubber coating on the recessed side grip ensures for a comfortable hold.
For the most efficient operation the Cobalto has a 30° rotatable scan head. If the scanner is not used for a longer time, it goes into standby mode, which hardly consumes more electricity, thus saving costs. At the same time, it is immediately ready to use again once a barcode appears in the window. It reads standard 1D barcodes at a speed of 1,500 scans per second, thanks to its 20-line scan window.

Connect the Cobalto easily via USB. For specific requirements an RS232, keyboard wedge and IBM emulation are additionally available. In addition, its compatibility with the EAS Checkpoint System (electronic article surveillance) allows for usage when cashing a safeguarded product.

Additional OPOS and JAVAPOS drivers, as well as the configuration tool Aladdin, all of which are available to download, make it easier for you to integrate and adjust the scanner according to the requirements and environment.

The scanner comes with a 3-year warranty. In addition, there are more Datalogic services from the EASEOFCARE Program available to insure the scanner for the long term. Furthermore, when ordering larger quantities, the device is available not only in the standard colors black and white, but also in a color of your choice.
